Warm Glow On Mount Baldy

The full moon rises behind Mount Baldy just as the sun sets in the other direction, casting a warmth onto the snowy Mount Baldy. Being on top of a mountain at sunset is a memorable experience, especially during a full moon. In one direction you get to watch the sun slip lower on the horizon among fiery reds and oranges. In the other direction, the deep blue of the night sky creeps in while the mountains capture the remaining red glow from the sun. This photo was taken from the top of Iron Mountain in the San Gabriel Mountains.
