Sea Turtle
Kona, HI | 2018
The tropical blue waters off the coast of Kona provide the perfect home for this little fella. When I first spotted this turtle, I was wading into the water to launch a kayak. The turtle was moving swiftly towards me, and I thought I accidentally disturbed its resting place. However a nearby local told me that the turtles seek out people entering the water since they often knock a few leaves into the water off of a nearby bush, and the turtle snacks on the leaves. So I hung out to watch a few other kayakers launch their boats, and the turtle hung out with me.
